Mahavir Harina Vanasthali National Park, Hyderabad, Telangana.
Mahavir Harina Vanasthali National Park is a deer national park located in Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is spread over 3,758 acres. It is the largest green lung space in the city of Hyderabad.
For naturalists and birdwatchers the park is a wonderful destination as many rare species of birds can be spotted here, including the Short-toed Eagle. Viewing towers have been erected for the comfort of visitors from where one can get a view of the whole region. Children love to go on the safari rides organized by Mahavir Harina Vanasthali’s keepers. This shuttle allows you to come close to the antelopes and the Black Bucks. Once you complete the ride through the forest or may be before embarking on one, take a bit of time out to visit the Exhibition Hall. It’s a center for introduction of wildlife conservation. The Forest Department provides audio-visual teaching on environment and wildlife; it is maintained by a well stocked library too.
